From the trailers on the new "Batman" movie, this may have been the break out role and the most defined portrayal of the "Joker" yet.
Many will have already made the comparison of this and the death of Brandon Lee, both cut down before a major role that would have boosted their movie careers, both spouting black and white makeup, both cut down far, far too young.
As for the "Batman" franchise, his role (we won't know until the release of "Dark Knight") as the Joker may out do Jack Nicholson in his , the portrayal of the Joker, and take it to a whole different level.
We'll just have to wait and see.
