MOVIE REVIEW: "AMERICAN GANGSTER"

I can't believe this piece of shit got "B+" ratings.
Maybe because it is the admiration of Denzel Washington as an actor that many reviewers gave him a "gentleman's c" type of thing, BUT REALLY, THIS WAS A PIECE OF SHIT.
First off, this movie was advertised as being some sort of gangster movie the likes of "Scarface" and "The Godfather".
Now, somebody has already put in a suit against Hollywood for false advertising in their trailers, but the advertising for this movie was just downright criminal.
THE TRAILERS PORTRAYED A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MOVIE!!!!!
Not only was this, in reality, a RUSSEL CROWE MOVIE, but it was one of the most boring gangster movies I have ever seen!
Denzel already gave us this gangster in "Training Day".It was an incredible acting experience, and Mr. Washington deserved the Oscar for this.
But in this movie, you can almost see, not only disgust, but sheer "phoning it in."Mr. Washington was obviously doing this for the money, and he knew it was a piece of shit.You could see it in his acting.
Now, tack on Russell"how the FUCK did he win a Oscar"Crowe in the mix, and the movie was just plain awful.
Many, many people were led to believe that this was a" DENZEL WASHINGTON MOVIE "(which people would come out to see in throngs), and not a Crowe movie, which his last few movies tanked!
Mr. "One Hit Wonder" ( and I'm STILL trying to figure out who the fuck they bribed to give "Gladiator" an Oscar) was a joke, he played a character that was a joke ( who the fuck would give back a million dollars in cash,unmarked bills), and his acting was just awful!!
Add in the stereotypical "country bumpkin black folks from the south who suddenly become seasoned gangsters", and you get a movie that I really should have demanded my money back.
There is even Oscar talk on this piece of shit!
Tell you what,folks, go see "Beowulf".
Why?
Because this movie is the beginning of the end for shit movies like "Gangsters", in which I will go into further when I review the movie in a later post.
