MOVIE REVIEW FOR "CRANK"

MOVIE REVIEW FOR "CRANK"
art and review by Phil Seahorn
Starring: Jason Statham, Amy Smart, Efren Ramirez, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Jay Xcala
Directed by: Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor
Produced by: Eric Reid (III), Michael Davis (III), Tom Rosenberg

"Crank is a "arthouse movie" that was released on a national run.

Now, because it is a "art house" movie, like most movies of this genre, the movie will either be loved or hated.

It is action packed, gory as a motherfucker, and funny.

I could have done without Statham's naked, pale British ass wiping around the screen.

HOWEVER, I could have done with a LOT more Amy Smart.Wasn't that familiar with her, but she is sexy as hell!In that traditional dumb blonde, bombshell role. She's hot, and funny too.

The action was over the top and VERY, VERY GORY.

Now, I heard the movie got a NC-17 rating, and I hope the uncut version will be all the shit that they had to have edited to get the final "R".I'm waiting for that version to come out on DVD.

The acting and photography are excellent, and the plot, being fairly simple, was played out quite well.

I enjoyed this move, and it was just the type of movie for a holiday weekend.

By the way, catch Statham in a interview. This motherfucker's accent is so thick, that you KNOW he's a damn good actor, just to speak with a SLIGHT English accent. This guy is for real, and I hope he gets more roles.
